It’s been a month since I started *actively* tracking moments I want to remember daily (skipping a few days in between :P). How’s that going? Some days, my notes are two lines short; some days, I document a whole sappy chunk. They are nonetheless fun to read. Here’s one:
4/27 Thursday
(I’m thinking about what Lili and I talked about yesterday walking around Oxford: making magic, and that magic is everywhere when we nurture and care for the relational and physical environment around us –– it could be in a glance, a wisp of wind, a sip of orange juice.)
I stare at the rainbow sunset stratosphere on the airplane until it becomes too dark to make out the shape of the clouds. Then, stars emerge; something always comes after another. Soon, darkness falls upon everything, and I feel a dizzying loss. Then a city appears –– dazzling and boundless, a place where dreams are housed. And in those twinkling homes, people with brave hearts tell each other stories.
Hugs,
Erica
